Nathanja van Dijk
Nathanja van Dijk is the artistic director of the TextielMuseum in Tilburg, NL. She is in charge of the collection, exhibition, and educational program, as well as all other public services. Furthermore, she is responsible for the artistic strategy in the run up to the major redevelopment of the museum. She previously served as the executive director of Kunsthal Rotterdam (2019 – 2021), one of the leading institutions for art and culture in the Netherlands. In 2014 she co-founded A Tale of a Tub and served as director until 2019. The artistic program of the institute is centered around questions of how art can contribute to our understanding of present-day urban society. She was artistic director of Frankendael Foundation in Amsterdam (2012–2014) and of Concordia 21rozendaal in Enschede (2010–2012). Van Dijk also works as an advisor for diverse cultural organizations, governments, and funding bodies in the field of mission driven (fundraising) strategies and innovation. For the arts, Van Dijk envisions an essential role in imagining an open and innovative society, based on notions of equality and sustainability.
